Vekalgo values your privacy. This policy applies to all Vekalgo applications and website services, and explains what data we collect, how we use it, and which third parties we share it with. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information: (a) Contact Information: your name and email address returned by Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In at login, stored on Vekalgo's servers; (b) Identifiers: a User ID to identify your account, and a Device ID used by our crash diagnostics service; (c) Financial Information: transaction records, account balances, investment holdings, budget settings, and other financial data you manually enter in our applications; (d) User Content: the intent text of Siri voice commands (not raw audio) and other user-generated content within the app; (e) Usage Data: feature interaction logs, collected in de-identified form to improve the product experience; (f) Diagnostics: app crash reports collected by Crashlytics, linked to your User ID and device type.
2. Account Sign-In
Vekalgo applications support Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In only. We do not offer registration with a custom email and password. When you sign in, we receive your name and email address from the respective API and store them on Vekalgo's own servers to identify your account and provide a personalised experience. We do not transmit your financial data or app usage to Google or Apple.
3. Application Data & Storage
All financial data you enter in Vekalgo applications — including transaction records, account information, investment portfolios, and receipt scan content — is stored in a self-managed database on Vekalgo's own server infrastructure, not any third-party cloud service. External data used by our applications (such as stock quotes and exchange rates) is fetched by Vekalgo's servers and delivered directly to the app; your personal information is never transmitted to any external source. Images processed by receipt OCR scanning are deleted immediately after recognition.
4. Diagnostics & Crash Reporting (Crashlytics)
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect app crash reports in order to identify and fix technical issues. Crashlytics collects and transmits the following data to Google's servers: crash logs and error stack traces; device model and operating system version; and a User ID linked via setUserId(), used to identify crash patterns by device type. This is the only service through which Vekalgo transmits user-identifying data to an external server. Data processed by Crashlytics is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Siri Voice Commands & Audio Data
Vekalgo applications support Siri voice logging. When you use Siri, voice audio is processed entirely by Apple's Siri framework — Vekalgo does not receive or store raw audio recordings. Vekalgo only receives the parsed command intent (e.g. 'log an expense') and associated parameters from Apple, which are used to perform the requested action within the app.
6. Biometric Authentication
Some Vekalgo applications support Face ID and Touch ID for authentication. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's secure framework (Secure Enclave). Vekalgo does not access, collect, or store any biometric information. Enabling biometric authentication is optional and can be disabled at any time in the app settings.
7. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely for the following purposes: to provide and maintain application functionality; to identify your account and deliver a personalised experience; to perform cloud sync and backup when manually initiated by you; to diagnose and fix technical issues via Crashlytics; to respond to technical support requests; and to improve app features and experience in a de-identified manner. We never sell your personal information or financial data to third parties, nor use it for advertising purposes.
8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Payment transactions for paid features are processed by the Apple App Store. Vekalgo does not collect or store your credit card information or any payment details. We only receive subscription status confirmation (active/expired) through Apple's API to enable or disable the corresponding features. To manage or cancel your subscription, please visit your Apple ID account settings.
9. Security Measures
We employ industry-standard measures to protect your data, including: SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission; encrypted storage of financial data and account information on Vekalgo's own servers; regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments; and access controls ensuring only authorised personnel can access user data. In the event of a security incident that may affect you, we will notify you promptly in accordance with our legal obligations.
10. Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete individual financial records or account content at any time within the application. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, please submit a request to [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 business days. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from Vekalgo's servers. This action is irreversible. Please note that diagnostic data already linked in Crashlytics is subject to Google's data retention policy.
11. Children's Privacy
All Vekalgo services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will promptly delete the data.
12. Cookie Usage
Cookie-related terms apply only to the Vekalgo website (vekalgo.com). We use cookies to maintain login sessions and improve the website experience. Vekalgo mobile applications do not use cookies. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though this may affect certain website functionality.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. For significant changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email, and update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
